Rick grew up on the New England coast and is passionate about being on the water. A United States Coast Guard veteran, he spent time in the Arctic, Australia, and South America off Cape Horn in the Southern Ocean. Rick’s racing experience has taken him to Block Island Race Week, Miami Race Week, and many other East Coast regattas. He spent the last few years sailing the Lightning Class. Rick has extensive knowledge in the maritime industry and proudly served on the board of directors of the Connecticut Marine Trades Association and was the editor-in-chief of Sailing Strategies. He has toured boat manufacturers and sail lofts in Canada, France, and the United States better to understand the design and construction side of the business.
