Description
A classic for cruising the coast or enjoying the Bahamas, this 1987 Morgan Out Island 41 Classic is a proven long or short distance sailor. De Blairs is perfect for families or couples, and is easily and comfortably handled underway without sacrificing performance.
Stepping aboard, you are immediately secure on the flush deck. All lifelines have been replaced with Dyneema. Forward at the bow a brand new Maxwell windlass allows effortless weighing of the properly sized anchor. The roller furling genoa is in great shape.
The stackpack main system is also brand new and has absolutely no fading. Heading back to the transom is a stainless steel davit system for hoisting a dinghy. The external propane locker is also located aft – which allows the composite tank to be easily filled as well as make it accessible for both the stove in the cabin and the Magma grill.
The cockpit large enough to be comfortable for guests and family and snug enough for secure sailing underway. The bimini and wrap around are brand new to keep you out of the elements. Barely used B&G navigational equipment keeps you headed in the right direction.
Going below the galley is highlighted by a new and rarely used Force 10 Stove. Your food is kept secure by a cold plated freezer with a separate refrigerator space. Wash-up is at the newly installed sink.
Going forward, the main cabin is wide and spacious, with plenty of light and seating. The cabin sole has been maintained and replaced as needed.
Continuing on the forward head is located to the port with doors leading to the main cabin as well as the v-berth. The v-berth is spacious and well-lit with plenty of storage.
Heading aft from the main cabin is the connecting passageway with a work bench on the port side and access to the large engine room centerline. The Yanmar 44 HP engine is in immaculate condition with less than 1500 hours on it.
Continuing aft is the owner’s cabin with an athwartships island queen sleeping area and generous storage. Like the rest of this boat, this cabin is well lit and roomy. Accessible only from this cabin is the owner’s head with an electric toilet and a separate shower area.
This Morgan has been meticulously maintained and improved by her current owner. She is fine example of the craftsmanship of the Catalina shipyard, as well as the dedication of her current owner to keep her in immaculate condition.
